It’s our Autumn Market on Saturday

Join us from 9:30am until Noon when you can enjoy a delicious breakfast bap and hot drink whilst browsing our busy market. For the first time, we have a stall selling honey made using the nectar collected by bees whose hives are in Beaford. As well as the local honey, we have an array of unique stalls selling everything from plants to homemade pastries, and handmade cushions to a local author signing their latest book.

Here’s details of all the activities you can join in with this week:-

Monday 7th September – 9:30am until 10:45 – Church Meeting

Monday 7th September – 2pm until 4pm – Short Mat Bowls – The Short Mat Bowling Club has a roll-up every Monday afternoon from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. If you fancy giving bowling a try then just come along before the start of the session and either watch or join in with the other bowlers. No experience is necessary as training is given to new and inexperienced players. The club holds a range of different size woods to fit all hand sizes. Please bring a pair of slippers or soft soled shoes with you to wear on the bowling carpets.  The first three sessions are free, after this, each session is charged at £3.00. This includes tea and biscuits and a good chat. Alternatively, you can ring Mick on 07969 312316 or Phil on 07802 689452 to have a chat about the bowling club

All the exercises can be done on a chair or on a mat – the choice is yours, and they aim to strengthen the core, increase flexibility and improve balance. You can join in as many or as few of the exercises as you feel comfortable with. After our exercise session we have some social time to catch up, relax and unwind with plenty of refreshments! Our group covers all ages and abilities and new members are always very welcome, so if you fancy giving it a go, please get in touch : – email Beafordvillage@gmail.com The cost is £7 per session

A message from our friends at The Globe Inn:

You may, or may not, be aware that The Globe Inn is currently for sale. The sale to a private buyer recently fell through. Rather than wait for the next buyer, the current owners (Jim & Sam) want to establish whether the village would like to keep The Globe Inn as a pub run for and by the community. Either follow the below link or see the below document to read more and to have your say. NB. all responses need to be received by 14th September
