The Beaford Village Hall Committee are delighted to bring to you our website. Packed with interesting and useful information, it’ll keep you abreast of any activities at the hall as well as in and around the village. This week, the majority of our younger residents will be enjoying the school’s half-term break, meaning parents and carers will be busy keeping the young ones entertained. This could be an ideal opportunity for you to sort out some unwanted toys etc. Our Church are holding a Jumble Sale in the Village Hall from 2pm on Saturday 31st October. They have requested donations of clothes, bric-a-brac, any unwanted toys, games, books etc. And here’s a thing – if you come across any old ink cartridges, please deliver them to the village hall – we are now set up as an ink-cartridge recycling point

Monday 26th October – 9:30am until 10:45 – Church Meeting
Monday 26th October – 2pm until 4pm – Short Mat Bowls – The Short Mat Bowling Club has a roll-up every Monday afternoon from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. If you fancy giving bowling a try then just come along before the start of the session and either watch or join in with the other bowlers. No experience is necessary as training is given to new and inexperienced players. The club holds a range of different size woods to fit all hand sizes. Please bring a pair of slippers or soft soled shoes with you to wear on the bowling carpets. The first three sessions are free, after this, each session is charged at £3.00. This includes tea and biscuits and a good chat. Alternatively, you can ring Mick on 07969 312316 or Phil on 07802 689452 to have a chat about the bowling club

Tuesday 27th October – 10am until Noon – Warm Hub – Why not pop along for an opportunity to meet with friends or make new ones? There’ll be free hot drinks with biscuits and/or homemade cake. You can visit our extensive library to borrow a best-seller, there’s also the jigsaw library that you can borrow from. Mobile Post Office is due at 11:30
Tuesday 27th October – 7:30pm until 9pm – Parish Council Meeting
Tuesday 27th October – 8pm until 10pm – Pickleball – Come and have a go at Pickleball in the village hall and join in with one of the fastest growing sports! Equipment is provided and tuition is available for beginners. First taster session is free, £3 per session thereafter
Wednesday 28th October – 10:30am until Noon – Keep Fit – We have around 20 members and most weeks we have a class of between 12-15 people. For the first hour we enjoy a variety of exercises led by our qualified instructor, Renata. The sessions are a good mixture of yoga, Pilates and aerobic movements which promote general well-being. All the exercises can be done on a chair or on a mat – the choice is yours, and they aim to strengthen the core, increase flexibility and improve balance. You can join in as many or as few of the exercises as you feel comfortable with. After our exercise session we have some social time to catch up, relax and unwind with plenty of refreshments! Thursday 29th October – 7pm until 9pm – Skittles
Saturday 31st October 10:30am until Noon – Church Coffee Morning – Pop in for tea, coffee, delicious homemade cake and a chat – all proceeds go towards our Church. From 9am until Noon, it’s also your opportunity to drop off donations of clothes, bric-a-brac, any unwanted toys, games, books etc. ahead of this afternoon’s jumble sale.
Saturday 31st October – 2pm until 4pm – Jumble Sale in aid of Beaford Church – Come and browse the pre-loved items for sale and grab yourself a bargain – all money raised goes to the church – light refreshments available (Cash only)
